Post-harvest Little Cherry Disease Management

As cherry harvest is finishing up, this is the best time to sample trees with small cherries for little cherry disease. The Little Cherry Disease Task Force has recently updated management recommendations for Little Cherry Virus and Western X including the latest sampling recommendations and recommendations for post-harvest leafhopper vector management. Sampling and removal of infected trees is critical for management of this community disease. Reducing vector populations may reduce spread of the disease.
