The annual review of Crop Protection Guide for Tree Fruits in Washington is completed and at the University printers.  For those of you who prefer the electronic copy, you can find the guide on-line at .  In addition to usual contributors reviewing current pesticide labels and adding new research-based findings to the guide, there are a few updates to note by producers.  WSU Extension specialist Tianna DuPont has revised the management guidelines for fire blight and incorporated several new product labels.  Tory Schmidt, WA Tree Fruit Research Commission has updated the plant growth regulator section based on research conducted by the Commission.  Dr. Achour Amiri has incorporated postharvest fungicide products to the 2017 Guide.  Finally, the Guide continues to encourage producers to rotate management products between pesticide groups (including herbicides as well as insecticides and fungicides) based on active ingredient mode of action to better conserve the products from the threat of pest resistance.
