Little Cherry Disease Eligible for Tree Assistance Program

View Print Version

Little Cherry Disease and Fire Blight have both been identified as eligible plant diseases under the Tree Assistance Program (TAP), which is administered by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency (FSA).  This means that if certain criteria is met, growers may be eligible for assistance for replanting costs should trees need to be removed due to either of these conditions.  Growers should be aware that an FSA representative must view the trees prior to removal in order for the grower to be eligible for payment.  Click here for more information about the program. Growers should contact their local FSA offices for additional information.
