Job Opportunity: Oregon State University Research Farm and Facilities Manager – Hood River OR
A full-time position is available at the Oregon State University Mid-Columbia Agricultural Research and Extension Center, located in Hood River, OR. This position will provide leadership, supervision, and hands-on support for all aspects of research orchard and facilities operations. Must have a demonstrated ability to: communicate effectively with individuals; plan, organize, evaluate, manage, and delegate priorities; manage multiple projects, activities, and deadlines simultaneously; make timely, thoughtful, information-based decisions and to be accountable for them; and to work independently with little supervision. Requires Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, agricultural management, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Two years of supervisory experience; Two years of experience in farming, orchard management, or production of other horticultural crops; Ability to obtain OR public pesticide applicator license; Successful completion of criminal and motor vehicle background checks. Depending on experience, the anticipated starting annual salary will be between $55,000 and $70,000; comprehensive benefits package.
