The Next Generation Tree Fruit Network began in 2016 as a partnership between the WSU Tree Fruit Extension Team and young growers. Supporting the future faces of farming, the network offers educational opportunities for young, new, and next-generation growers, managers, and industry professionals to keep up-to-date on the rapidly changing fruit industry. Our 2019-2020 schedule of events is already underway.
Our next event is on Nov 13 and will feature networking time and dinner alongside a presentation and discussion led by Karen Lewis of WSU on new technology for efficient harvest. For more information and to RSVP, please use this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-technology-for-efficient-harvest-tickets-76123002951. Please RSVP before Nov 11 to ensure your spot at the table.
On Dec 4, we will have a similar event featuring a panel discussion on market and economic trends for tree fruit. The series will close in 2020 with panel demonstrations on using new software and apps for both the office (Jan 16) and in the field (Feb 13).
