Prosser WA: WSU CAHNRS’s Center for Precision & Automated Agricultural Systems team is hosting an Open House of the new facility and Agricultural Technology Day on September 17, 2015. It will be an event geared to educate growers, agricultural industry professionals, crop consultants and researchers about the cutting edge agricultural technologies being researched by the CPAAS affiliate team. Through 29 poster presentations, 9 demos and displays, CPAAS team will showcase agricultural automation, robotics, and precision agriculture technologies and associated economics research.
Highlights of this year include technologies such as: Apple picking robot, Unmanned aerial helicopter for precision farming applications, Small-UAS and ground sensing technologies for crop production management, Low energy precision irrigation technology, Artificial pollination and Mechanical pruning of tree-fruit, Application technology, High throughput crop phenotyping technologies to aid crop breeding and Agricultural technology economics among others. It is a great opportunity for industry to interact with the CPAAS team. We look forward to networking with you and receiving your feedback.
