Improving Sprayer Performance – Cashmere
June 12, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pmFree
Join WSU Extension to improve your sprayer performance. Extension Specialist Gwen Hoheisel will provide an in-field demo using three different sprayer types.
No pre-registration required. No fee.
- Match spray pattern to canopy shape. Analyze spray distribution and adjust nozzles to get every drop to the crop.
- Match airspeed to your canopy. Airspeed: how much is enough? How much is too much? Learn how to reduce airspeed with fan speed, blade pitch, and baffles to match canopy type.
- Cover the target. Look at droplet size to apply many small droplets that will stick to the whole leaf surface. Hoheisel will demo nozzles and pressure gauges.
Speakers: Gwen Hoheisel, WSU Regional Extension Specialist. Gwen has provided research and extension to tree fruit, berries, and grapes since 2006. Her work focuses on sustainable pest management and application technologies.
There will be two opportunities to attend this demonstration: Cashmere on June 12th; and Okanogan on June 13th.
