Pear Pruning Demonstration

January 10, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Where: Meet at ‘The Junction’ gas station 509 S Whitcomb ave, Tonasket, WA. We will caravan from there to a Foreman Farm’s block off N Pine Creek Rd and Box Canyon Fruit.

Are you interested in improving your pear blocks? Are you interested in higher density pears or how higher density techniques can help you in your standard pear blocks? Join Dr Stefano Musacchi Washington State University Professor of Horticulture and Bob Gix Blue Star Horticulturalist for a demonstration of pear pruning on January 10, 2017. We will discuss and demonstrate: tying, spreading and other ways to move away from loppers; simple branches, keeping branches headed up; and controlling the tops of trees in later years.

Come ready for discussion. This is your chance to ask questions and share your experience!

Thank you to Foreman Farms and Box Canyon Fruit for hosting this event.
