Virtual Field Tour: Pear Rootstocks and Systems for Today and Tomorrow
Friday, August 14, 10:00AM – 11:30 AM PDT
Don’t plant pears for your heirs, plant pear blocks that can pay for themselves within 8 years! Join us for a tour of a pear rootstock research trial featuring a number of quince selections that show promise in Pacific Northwest conditions. We’ll also showcase an existing high-density commercial bi-axis Bartlett block that will be picking a significant crop this year in its 4th leaf. Our webinar will feature pre-recorded video demonstrations, live presentation of research results, and live Q & A where participants can ask questions in real-time to the scientists and growers featured during the broadcast.
