The Washington State Tree Fruit Association will hold two (2) Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training courses on May 22nd and May 23rd, 2017 in Union Gap, WA. This one-day class fulfills the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement for Produce Growers outlined in § 112.22(c) that requires‘At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.” The course will be led by trainers that have attended the PSA lead trainer training, and hold the Produce Safety Alliance Lead Trainer Certificate.
We have only a few more spots remaining, take advantage of these courses that will be exclusively directed for the tree fruit industry in Washington State. This course is subsidized by WSDA support through Specialty Crop Block Grant Program. The registration fee of $130 will include the PSA Grower Training Manual, a certificate of course attendance issued by AFDO, lunch, and refreshments.
