Rootstock Field Day – Oroville & Brewster

The Rootstock Field Day Event begins by meeting at the Big 5 Sports store in Wenatchee to carpool to Oroville. To prepare for the field day, you can review the rootstock trial data by clicking here.
Leave Wenatchee: 7:50 AM — Can meet at 144 Easy Way, Wenatchee, WA 98801, south of Big 5 Sports at 7:30 am to carpool to Oroville.
Leave Omak: 9:40 AM

Directions: Turn off Hwy 97 in downtown Oroville onto Central Ave. which turns into Loomis-Oroville Rd. Orchard is north of 3625 Loomis Oroville Rd, Oroville WA. Turn right (North) off Loomis-Oroville Rd. There is an older orchard on right of the drive, open but fenced (has dry grass/weeds) field on left.
Discussion: Second Leaf Honeycrisp in a replicated planting of Geneva apple rootstocks and commercial standards in an unfumigated old orchard site: Emla 106, Bud 9, G.969, G.210, G.41, G.935, G.214, G.11, G.890, M.9 Nic 29, M.9 T337.

Directions: Address- turn left (NORTH) at 72 Lakeview Way, Brewster. Large Honeycrisp grafts on the right, Pacific Rose block on the left. Best way to arrive: Old 97 (those traveling from Oroville, turn onto old 97 at Mallot) to (turn east) Old Monse Bridge road, Right (south) on to Golden Lane to Lakeview Way.
Topics: Pazazz on most rootstocks as in Oroville, but in new ground. Very nicely done. Virus in G.935?
