Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Train-the-Trainer Refresher Course for WSDA WPS Certified Trainers
The Washington State Tree Fruit Association, in cooperation with the Washington State Department of Agriculture, will hold four (4) Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Train-the-Trainer Refresher Courses on December 11th, 2019 in Wenatchee, WA, during the 115th WSTFA Annual Meeting.
The Train the Trainer Refresher course is designed for WSDA Certified Trainers. In this class, attendees will receive information on the main points of Worker Protection Standard, they will also participate in exercises related to training methodologies. This highly interactive 4-hour course will help trainers to maintain efficiency in their teaching skills and in their knowledge of WPS as is required by WSDA.
Note: In order to continue issuing the WSDA WPS Training Verification Cards to agricultural workers and pesticide handlers, Certified Trainers are required to refresh their training and skills and update their knowledge on WPS every three years. Certified Trainers can do so by either attending the new 4-hour WPS Train-the-Trainer Refresher course OR by re-taking the full 2-day WPS Train-the-Trainer course.
When: 4 classes will be held on Wednesday, December 11th, 2019 with the following schedule:
- 8:00 am to noon: English
- 8:00 am to noon: Spanish
- 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm: English
- 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm: Spanish

Space is limited, register on our website, wstfa.org. On-site registration will not be accepted. Fully payment of the registration fee must be made at the time of registration. The registration fee is non-refundable. Please indicate your WSDA WPS Certified Trainer Number at the time of registration. Registration fee of $50 covers training materials, coffee and snacks.
