Next Generation Tree Fruit Network – Transitioning to Organic Tour

Join WSU and the Next Generation Tree Fruit Network for an opportunity to learn more about organic tree fruit production. We will discuss: compost and fertility & soil renovation as well as paperwork and certification.

Northern Location: Wednesday August 2, 2017 @ 3 to 5 pm. Brownfield Orchards.155 Apple Acres Rd Chelan, WA.

Southern Location: Thursday August 3, 2017 @ 3 to 5 pm. Hi Point Orchard. 14485 Rd 170 Mesa, Wa.

Speakers: Mike Brownfield has farmed organic apples, pears and cherries since 1990. Jeff Collins is the WSDA Organic Inspector for North Central Washington. Rick Orozco has farmed apples, apricots, cherries, pears, peaches and nectarines organically for eleven years.
