Field Day – Mechanized Vineyard Planting
June 2 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Join us for an Open House on Mechanized Vineyard Planting!
This is the first public event to kick off the establishment of a new vineyard planted to study the influence of vineyard management practices on soil health. This vineyard will be planted using a mechanized planting service offered by Vinomatos, and we are inviting you to come and see this process.
This is a collaborative project between USDA and WSU scientists, and we invite you to informally watch the vineyard planting processes, and ask any questions you have on the study or of the mechanized planting. We will be hosting an open house between 10:00 AM and Noon.
While we are planting a vineyard, this mechanized planting process is adaptable to many woody perennial fruit crops.
Location: WSU Prosser IAREC, 24106 North Bunn Rd, Prosser, WA. Signs will direct attendees to where the vineyard planting is occurring.
Registration: Please pre-register
Additional information, such as exact location, or any changes in demonstration timing, will be emailed to registered participants.
