Tree Fruit Extension Response to COVID-19

We are here. Even though our county offices and Research and Extension Centers are closed to the public and most office work is being done from home, we are still on the job. Critical and time sensitive lab and field work continues where and when it can be done safety and within the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order and guidelines set by WSU Administration and our county partners.

Email and phones are of course up and running. Response time might be affected for various reasons but if we are not on sick or annual leave, we should be able to respond in a timely manner. Click here to land on our “People” page that gives you all of our contact information.

Individually and collectively we are investigating additional and new ways to engage, educate and inform. As an example, over 300 people attended a recent webinar presented by Matt Whiting on March 27 where he discussed flowering, fruit set and pollination biology. A recorded version is located HERE. This was the first event in a Webinar Series being developed by Bernardita Sallato, WSU Extension, and Ashley Thompson, OSU Extension. Stay tuned for upcoming topics and dates. In addition, there are a couple podcast series, new videos, and virtual / livestream field days in the works.

Thank you for your patience and for your continued support.
