This summer’s ‘heat dome’ had direct impact on quantity and quality of tree fruit produced in the region, as well as other crops. Two recent articles on AgClimate.net discuss this heat wave. The first article talks about the impacts to high-value crops and some management practices that are currently in use that could help manage such impacts. The second article discusses to what extent rising temperatures contributed to this heat wave, and what it might say about the future.
