The weather is warming up and some DAS models are starting. The pear psylla model is now active in many areas across Washington. Winterform adults are continuing to emerge and egg laying is occurring in many regions. First generation eggs are beginning to hatch and nymphs will be emerging soon. The codling moth model is now active, but no codling moth emergence is expected at this time of the season. So far in 2025 we have accumulated fewer degree days than this time last year.
Now is the perfect time to subscribe to DAS! Keep track of pest emergence and see management options as the season progresses. You can use our time machine tool to look back on weather data from the last 5 years and see how 2025 compares. You can also set up alerts to remind you when key pests are emerging for timely management.
