2025 Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) Study Results

Since 2011, the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission (WTFRC) has conducted annual studies to provide the Northwest cherry industry basic information about residues of commonly used pesticides.  These studies are intended to help growers and consultants make more informed pest management decisions with respect to concerns about Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) in foreign markets.  The WTFRC Internal Program recently completed its 2025 study on cherry at a Skeena block near East Wenatchee.  This year’s trial included 15 insecticides/acaricides, 3 fungicides, and for the first time, the plant growth regulator prohexadione calcium.  The results of that study, a supplemental report summarizing prohexadione calcium residues from this Skeena trial and another 2025 study on Sweetheart, as well as archived reports from previous years on apple and cherry are now available on the WTFRC homepage.
