Codling Moth Study Circle – Yakima

Join us for a discussion with WSU entomologists Rob Curtiss, Tobin Northfield and Betsy Beers.

Study circles are designed  to provide opportunities where growers, consultants, researchers, and industry professionals can learn from one another to improve profitability and sustainability.

 Format: 30 min of presentation and 1.5 hr of facilitated discussion.

10:00 am             Presentation: Preventing Codling Moth Hotspots and Outbreaks

        • Base program updated for today’s economics
        • Update on virus resistance in Washington
        • Update on codling moth pesticide trials
        • BMPs for cultural controls including banding

10:30  – noon    Facilitated discussion

 

This training is part of a grant project ‘Developing the toolkit for codling moth hotspot management’ funded by the Washington State Tree Fruit Research Commission.
