The future of orchard management and agricultural technology is arriving in Yakima, Washington. From October 20–22, 2026, FIRA USA 2026 will gather growers, technology developers, research institutions, and industry leaders at State Fair Park in Yakima for North America’s premier event dedicated to autonomous farming, ag robotics, and smart technology solutions.
Co-organized by GOFAR, the Yakima County Development Association, and Yakima County, with regional support from organizations including the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission (WTFRC) and Washington State University (WSU), this fifth edition of FIRA USA marks a major expansion in scope tailored directly to the needs of Pacific Northwest growers.
Expanding Beyond Robotics to Comprehensive AgTech
While previous editions centered predominantly on autonomous field robotics, FIRA USA 2026 is broadening its scope to encompass a wide array of AgTech solutions addressing high-priority challenges across multiple crops, including:
- Crop and Soil Health Management: Advanced autonomous systems designed for crop load and canopy management, weed management, and soil health.
- Smart Irrigation & Resource Efficiency: Automated water management and precision application tools tailored for Northwest orchard systems.
