OSU will be sponsoring a local meeting to discuss refilling of the Hood River and Wasco County Horticulture positions. The meeting will be held Tuesday July 25 in The Dalles at the Columbia Gorge Community College Lecture Hall which is on the third floor in Building 2 beginning at 10 am. The focus of the meeting will be to discuss creating a Regional Horticulture Position for Hood River and Wasco County Counties focused on Commercial Horticulture with an emphasis on tree fruit production. We will also have a discussion to determine if there are specific programming needs and how they might be addressed during the interim while this position is being filled.
