Enjoy this new video created by PBS featuring the work of our colleagues at OSU. There is a growing threat of the Brown Marmorated Stink bug to our orchards. Recently the Samurai wasp, a parasitic wasp that specializes on Brown Marmorated Stink bug was discovered in Washington and Oregon. David Lowenstein, a postdoctoral research associate at Oregon State University, has been rearing both stink bug and samurai wasp colonies. WSU graduate student Josh Milnes, Washington State University has also been working hard to monitor the Samurai Wasp. Take a look at the video here.
