Columbia Basin Tree Fruit Club

Join us in our next club meeting for a “Practical Tree Fruit Tech Tools for Today” review and discussion. Our invited speakers are Dr. Ines Hanrahan, Executive Director of the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission (WTFRC). Ines will provide an overview of practical, adoption-ready technology solutions that producers can implement right now. Drawing from examples across all tree fruit varieties, she will cover the entire pipeline from production to postharvest, with a special focus on the WTFRC Apple Technology Roadmap. Followed by Dr. Dattatray Bhalekar, Hort Technology Educator for Washington State University. Datta will provide a summary of technology being evaluated at the apple Smart Orchard project, and how growers are using them today.
