Webinar Series

The team that is leading the national fire blight grant “Comprehensive Fire Blight Management for the United States” is hosting a webinar series that will begin in Spring 2024 and wrap up at the end of the year. This series will address new research on best management practices for fire blight control.

The following is the upcoming fire blight webinar series tentative agenda:

April 4, 2024 – Current resistance status of antibiotics for fire blight management

New research on prevalence of kasugamycin oxytetracycline and streptomycin resistance.

 

April 18, 2024 – Fire Blight Moves Fast in the Plant. Prune Fast to Stay Ahead.

Katherine Olive, Michigan State University

New research shows fire blight can move 2 in a day in shoots. Learn the details and how to manage to prevent tree death.
