Granny Instructional Workshop – Objective Starch Measurements
July 9 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us on Thursday, July 9th at 10 AM for a workshop/training on the use of Granny, a software designed for rating fruit using machine learning and image processing. Rather than using subjective measurements made by different people, Granny allows for an objective measurement of starch values to inform management decisions. Granny can be operated as either a command-line software tool or through the webpage available at: https://grannyapp.org/.
The software is free to use and is open-access. While the command-line software is more robust and allows for fine-tuning, the webpage is also available for those who are not comfortable/familiar with command-line software.
We will cover basic installation, operational instructions, and common mistakes to be avoided when implementing Granny into your current operations.
