NWFM LLC managed WSU Smart Apple Orchard Testbed at Mattawa, WA


Join us and learn more about the on-the-market as well as commercialization ready orchard automation and precision input management technologies being experimented at our grower cooperator (Northwest Farm Management LLC) managed WSU Smart Apple Orchard technology testbed and demonstration site in Mattawa, WA. This year, we will showcase technologies from over 20 vendors focused on: 

  • Irrigation and Heat Stress Automation 
  • Bee Monitoring for Optimal Hive Placement 
  • Blossom Mapping 
  • Vigor and Crop Load/Yield Monitoring (& Spatial Mapping) 
  • Ecosystem for Multi-modal Data Integration/visualization & Prescriptive Task mapping   
  • Autonomous/Precision Spraying, Nutrient Management, and Electric Weeding

This event is an excellent opportunity for growers and agricultural professionals to learn about the latest technologies and data-driven approaches to orchard management. The testbed is funded by the Washington Tree Fruit Research commission and is a joint effort between WSU faculty, Grower Cooperator (NWFM LLC), and Ag-Tech Industry Partners. 


This project involves the use of various technologies such as Innov8agWiseconn, Nelson Twig, Dynamax, Green Atlas, Swan Systems, SoilOptix, Tyton aviation, Bee Hero, Aerobotics, Burrows, Robotics plus, Monarch Tractor, Smart Apply, Wilbur Ellis, Outfield, Agromanager, AEA and more to inform and optimize different aspects of apple orchard operations.
