Spray Application Equipment Best Management Practices (BMPs)

The Spray Application Best Management Practices workshop is a one-day, hands-on training aimed to provide both managers and operators the information needed to optimize spray operations.  Managers must to know the steps, time, and requirements to properly operate and calibrate a sprayer so that they can empower operators to do it correctly.  The course is offered in both Spanish and English.  Information will include maintenance, calibration, optimization, and environmental considerations with the focus of demonstrating tools and techniques to make calibration easier and spray directed into the canopy.  Class size is limited and registration is completed by the sponsors.

This workshop is intended for individuals who perform airblast sprayer calibration. Participants will be provided with information and tools necessary to skillfully calibrate and configure a pesticide sprayer consistent with its intended use (e.g., tree structure, canopy size, time of season), to increase product deposition, and to reduce drift.  Participants will gain hands-on experience by using actual application equipment during a mock calibration.

Registration is $55 for WAWGG members or $70 for non-members.
