The WSU DAS Team is excited that the 2024 season is here! Last season we introduced tools like time machine tool to look back on the season and assess your management timing and effectiveness. The spray selection tool uses the information from the Washington State University tree fruit crop protection guide and organizes into an easy to use guide. The alert feature allows users to get advance warning of when key events will occur for several models.
We have opened subscriptions for DAS for 2024 and encourage users to subscribe early and set up their weather stations and alerts. Models such as pear psylla are already accumulating degree days and key thresholds are predicted in mid-March for the Cashmere area, and in the coming weeks many of the other models will become active.
The DAS team is hosting a 30-minute webinar to go over new features for the 2024 season. The DAS team will also discuss plans to move away from the subscription-based system by 2025, and we will solicit feedback from our user base on this upcoming change. There will be four opportunities to attend the webinar. Check the WSU Tree Fruit calendar for times and Zoom links.
